DLIATD Graduate Show 1997
Outside a structure with a window in the gallery reads a sign
'Welcome to Blind Date. Please come inside. Please feel free to listen to each sound piece through the headphones provided. There are five, each corresponds with a piece behind the screen. You have the opportunity to take one of these characters home with you. If you are interested, you are obliged to leave a cash deposit as a keep safe, which will be refunded to you on its return. You must leave your postal address. You will be instructed to keep the character at your home for seven days, each day of which you will receive a clue through the post. If you choose to keep the piece and all seven clues a further price will be billed to you minus your initial deposit. Enjoy.’
As we enter inside a dark corridor above our heads is draped a scroll with a short poem which reads...
“Dedicated to all the rough riders, ghost poets, lowdown rounders, sweet lovers, desperate characters, sad eyed drifters and rainbow angels..... to all those high on life from all ends of the wild blue yonder....” Bob Dylan
